At Up to 8000 Hz, the mouse sends its position to your PC every 0.125 milliseconds — that's 8,000 times per second. The practical benefit is smoother cursor motion on high-refresh-rate monitors (240Hz+) and fractionally lower click-to-response time. In blind tests, most players can't reliably distinguish 4000 Hz from 8000 Hz, but the ultra-smooth feel is perceptible when tracking moving targets at high sensitivity.

PixArt sensors are the industry standard for gaming mice — used by most major brands. The PixArt PAW3398 provides reliable, consistent tracking with no built-in angle snapping or acceleration unless enabled in software.
